Reborn Rupture Chapter 14
I knew it. Krystal had just cost me a valuable opportunity to strengthen my college applications.
When I came out after the exam, Krystal was at the school gate talking to Mrs. Romano.
The moment Mrs. Romano saw me, her face broke into a sympathetic smile.
“Oh, Virginia, I’m so sorry. Krystal told me what happened. Don’t blame her. ”
“She was just so nervous she made a mistake. ”
“She didn’t do well on the test either. I know you have a good heart, so let’s just let this go, okay? ”
“I’ll treat you to Starbucks to make it up to you.”
My dad’s face turned to stone.
“What are you talking about?”
A classmate standing nearby couldn’t help but chime in.
“Sir, Krystal accused Virginia of cheating in the middle of the test. ”
“They took Virginia out of the room for more than ten minutes.”
I clenched my fists, stopping my father before he could explode.
“It’s okay, Dad. Even without this one competition, I can get into Harvard on my scores alone.”
I turned to Krystal.
“As for you, with nerves that shaky, you’d better be careful during the SATs. ”
“You don’t want to score so low that you can’t even get into community college.”
“You—!”
After I got home, I went over everything I could remember from my past life.
I recalled that Krystal had a brother named Kyle.
I quickly called my best friend.
