His Fake Proposal Led Me To My Real Husband Chapter 27
Tyler saw it and pretended he didn’t.
He kept talking. “Rebecca hit me twice. Why isn’t anyone talking about that?”
Before the livestream ended, Natalie publicly released the metadata for the original files.
She didn’t defend herself.
She only wrote: *I saved the recording. I took the screenshots. I was there.*
Tyler deleted the livestream almost immediately.
A few minutes later, Mason posted a written statement.
*The recording is real. The fake proposal was my idea. Rebecca did not betray me before the engagement.*
That one sentence changed the direction of the conversation.
But Mason didn’t stop there.
He added: *Everyone else was involved, but the primary responsibility is mine.*
Tyler replied underneath: *Too late to play the hero now.*
Then he posted more than a dozen screenshots from the group chat.
In them, Mason repeatedly told them I would never leave.
*She waited all day on her birthday.*
*She never stays mad for more than three hours.*
*She has no standards.*
I had already heard those words from their mouths.
Now they were the ones laying each sentence out for everyone to see.
At three in the afternoon, Patricia posted a statement, too.
She said this was a private dispute between young people, and that the Westbrook family had never participated in any humiliation.
Tyler quickly reposted the clip of her calling the party a “farce” in the ballroom.
He wrote: *You certainly didn’t participate. You just came to continue the humiliation.*
I watched them tear each other apart and suddenly felt very calm.
I didn’t need to say anything else.
That evening, my lawyer forwarded me a formal letter from the Westbrook family.
They were demanding that I delete all the materials, citing invasion of privacy and damage to their reputation.
After Julian read it, he asked, “Want to respond?”
I put the letter back on the desk.
“Yes.”
“How?”
“Tell them we still have all the originals.”
I looked out the window.
“If they think I’m lying, they can sue.”Â
