The Stolen Savior: He Loved The Wrong Sister Chapter 12
Meanwhile, Nora was undergoing intensive training at the residential weight-loss camp.
The camp ran like a military academy. Nora trained all day long.
There were recovery periods scheduled in, but recovery didn’t mean lying around—sauna, massage, stretching, fitness tests, one after another. Even at night, she wore a monitoring band on her wrist while she slept.
Under such intense training, Nora slimmed down quickly.
She’d never actually been prone to gaining weight, and she ate little. The only reason she’d been so heavy all these years was Camille’s drugs. Once the drugs stopped, even without the camp, the weight would have slowly come off.
Now, without the drugs and with the program, she was losing weight even faster.
In just three months, Nora lost a full ninety pounds.
At five foot seven and one hundred twenty pounds, she wasn’t under a hundred, but given her height, her figure was now remarkably slender.
One day, while Nora was resting in the recovery room, Aunt Nadine called.
“Nora, your graduation ceremony is the day after tomorrow. I’ve booked your flight. Go back and attend,” her aunt said. “You’ve lost so much weight. You’ll stun everyone when you return.”
But Nora froze. All the memories came flooding back, making her body tremble uncontrollably.
Honestly, she didn’t want to go back.
But she was this year’s outstanding graduate, and she had to accept the medal in person. She’d earned that degree through four years of grinding, class after class. She wouldn’t let those two people take this last thing from her.
After much deliberation, Nora decided to return for the ceremony.
Looking at her reflection—almost a completely different person—Nora thought that even if she ran into Lucian at school, he probably wouldn’t recognize her.
Maybe that was for the best. Once she had her diploma, she’d leave immediately. No more ties to Lucian.
Soon, graduation day arrived.
Lucian went to campus early, anxiously waiting for Nora to appear.
He’d stationed people at every entrance. The moment Nora was spotted, his hired men would report to him immediately.
But he waited and waited. All the students arrived. Nora never showed.
Lucian’s anxiety grew.
Just as he began to doubt whether Nora would come at all, a slender, striking figure appeared at the entrance to the auditorium.Â
