He Married Another So I Accepted My Arranged Husband Chapter 05

Talia’s mother spoke up next.

“If this is how a wedding is to be conducted, Salvatore, then we are deeply disappointed.”

“The person whose status was questioned today is Talia. What, exactly, are you prepared to do to prove she is the wife you recognize?”

Talia stood beside them, crying softly.

“Don’t blame Sal. He’s not usually like this.”

She kept her head bowed, the very picture of a wounded bride.

Only I knew it was all an act.

I took the equity separation agreement from my purse. I was about to hand it to Salvatore when he spoke first.

“If I transfer fifty percent of Northstar’s equity to Talia, and we write it into the alliance agreement between our two Families, will that be enough to prove my choice?”

The room immediately filled with murmurs of approval.

“Now that’s real recognition.”

“Salvatore has chosen the Moretti Family.”

An adviser from the hotel staff quickly brought over the documents, and the signing was completed in front of all the witnesses.

That fifty percent was the exact portion he had already acknowledged belonged to me in our nominee agreement.

I objected.

No one listened.

Salvatore was the Ferraro Family heir, and this was his wedding. At his word, the guards moved to escort me from the ballroom.

Every eye was on me as I was led out.

I didn’t try to explain myself again.

When I got back to the apartment, I placed the engagement ring inside Salvatore’s safe. As I closed the door, I deleted my fingerprint from the access panel.

Then I contacted a real estate agent and listed the apartment Talia had been living in for sale.

After that, I packed my bags, took the damaged wedding dress, and went straight to the airport.
