He Married Another So I Accepted My Arranged Husband Chapter 04

I had been with Salvatore for six years.

Of course I had proof.

My phone held tens of thousands of photos, documenting nearly every stage of our life together, from college until now. I had voice recordings of him promising to marry me, along with digital copies of nine different marriage appointments.

I pulled up my photo album and held out my phone.

“This is my proof.”

The room, which had been buzzing with accusations, fell suddenly silent.

Several witnesses craned their necks to see the screen, their expressions turning awkward as they recognized the pictures.

Talia’s eyes reddened instantly.

“Indigo, I never knew you felt that way about Sal.”

“To think you would photoshop yourself into all these pictures… and even forge registration records.”

“I have photos, too.”

She opened her own album.

I froze.

I had no idea they had spent so much time together behind my back.

On my birthday, Salvatore had said he was meeting with partners at the port. In reality, he had taken Talia to an amusement park.

Right before Christmas, we had planned to visit my parents in Lugano. He’d canceled at the last minute, claiming a Ferraro Family emergency, but he had gone to Talia’s house instead.

One picture slid after another across her screen.

I could barely feel the floor beneath my feet.

“What do you have to say for yourself now?”

“Get out.”

“Stop harassing another woman’s husband.”

Then Talia’s father, the head of the Moretti Family, slammed his hand on the table.

Every voice died at once.

“A scene like this does not happen at a wedding for no reason.”

He fixed Salvatore with a hard stare.

“You let my daughter be publicly questioned like this, in front of witnesses from both sides. How am I supposed to feel safe entrusting her—and the Moretti Family’s support—to you?”
