My Guardian Married My Sister But I’m His Alpha Chapter 24

The chandelier in the Pack estate dining room was just as painfully bright as before.

Tonight, they were in the formal dining hall.

Her grandfather sat at the head of the table, her mother to his left, with Francesca beside her. Francesca’s color had returned, and the Luna candidate insignia was pinned neatly to her dress.

Griffin sat to her grandfather’s right.

When he saw Sterling walk in holding Chiara’s hand, his fingers tightened around his water glass.

“Alpha Vale, please, sit,” her grandfather said. “We need to clarify this matter between you and Chiara.”

Sterling pulled out a chair for Chiara, waiting until she was seated before taking his own.

He didn’t waste time with pleasantries.

“Elder Moretti, Chiara and I have known each other for some time. We kept it from the family because the timing was never right.”

He paused, letting his words sink in. “Her father passed away only three years ago. I didn’t want to press the issue of marriage so soon. But since the family has begun arranging other options for her, it’s time to be clear.”

His tone was steady, utterly natural.

He sounded as if he had been born to sit at tables like this.

“How did you meet?” her grandfather asked.

“In Paris, three years ago,” Sterling said. “She helped me with a small matter. We got to know each other after that.”

He didn’t elaborate.

Her grandfather didn’t press.

Once an Alpha publicly declared a formal courtship at a witnessed dinner, no one could lightly accuse him of lying.
