Reborn To Reject My Regretful Mate For The King Chapter 07

Adrian sent me to Northvale in an SUV with four of his private guards.

The moment the car crossed out of Greymoor Pack territory, I started mapping out escape routes. But then, a convoy of black vehicles suddenly blocked the mountain road.

The man in the lead car got out, leaning on a cane, and handed a file pouch stuffed with cash and transfer receipts to the matchmaking consultant.

“Thank you for bringing my wife to me. The rest of your payment has been transferred.”

The consultant opened her mouth to say something, but the sight of the numbers on the receipt made her snap it shut. She waved off Adrian’s guards and left with them.

In less than five minutes, it was just me and the unfamiliar convoy.

I pushed open the car door and met the man’s eyes.

My wolf instantly sounded an alarm.

His presence was far too powerful for an ordinary pack member.

Instinctively, I shrank back into the car.

The next second, two men in black tactical gear pulled the door open and escorted me out.

The stranger came to a stop in front of me.

He held a cane in his left hand, and it was clear his legs couldn’t bear his full weight, yet the smile on his face was surprisingly gentle.

“Don’t be afraid. My name is Gale.”

“According to the private agreement your brother signed, I’m the man you’re supposed to marry.”

He took a deep blue jewelry box from one of the guards behind him.

“This was my mother’s. She told me that if I ever found someone I was willing to marry, I should give this to my mate.”

Inside the box lay a sapphire tiara comb.

The gemstone was intricately cut, and on the back, a royal crest had been deliberately filed down.

This was not something an ordinary businessman should possess.
