Reborn To Reject My Regretful Mate For The King Chapter 09

Gale took me to a safe house just outside the Northvale border.

The place wasn’t large, but it was self-sufficient, with its own power, a medical room, surveillance systems, and an underground garage.

It sat on the boundary between Alderpeak Pack and a district under the Crown’s direct administration, beyond the control of any one family. Neither side could search it without alerting the other.

That night, I examined Gale.

His injuries weren’t congenital.

Two months ago, someone had shattered his knees with silver-laced metal rods, deliberately leaving shards of the metal deep in the wounds to prevent a werewolf’s natural healing.

At my current skill level, there was no way I could fully restore his legs in two months.

The moment I told him, killing intent flared in his eyes.

“But I can stop the damage from getting worse,” I added quickly. “I can also ease the nerve pain when it rains and help your wolf recover some of its strength.”

The suffocating pressure in the room finally subsided.

“Start with that,” he said.

I made a list of the equipment and medicines I needed and told him to find a surgical healer who could remove the silver residue.

The next day, all the guards who had come with him were gone, leaving only one man, Rhys, in charge of security.
