He Scorned My Love Now He Watches My Rise Chapter 21
He did not take the Alpha heir’s seat.
He walked to the witness stand and handed over his identity badge.
“I was the one who posted the public records three years ago.”
Colton looked toward the elders.
“The mall surveillance was also obtained and released by me. After Siobhan left, she never asked me to clear her name, and she never contacted anyone’s workplace.”
Bianca shot to her feet.
“Colt, are you really going to put all the blame on me?”
“I’m not.”
He looked up at her.
“I’m here today to admit my own responsibility.”
Colton said that when the first fake silver-wound message came, he had known it was a test.
He said that when I burst into the room with red-rimmed eyes, he still hadn’t stopped anyone.
The second time, when I posted my mother’s medical bill in the group chat, he had seen the healer’s signature.
But Bianca said signatures could be forged, and he never even bothered to check.
As for the watch, he had been standing right by the counter.
The saleswoman was only a few steps away.
“If I had asked one question, I would have known.”
His voice was low.
“But I didn’t.”
Bianca stared at him.
“I wasn’t the only one laughing.”
“That’s true.”
Colton turned toward the gallery.
“So everyone who took part should be held responsible for what they did. Including me.”
At last, someone in the back rows couldn’t stay quiet.
“We only believed Bianca because she said Siobhan was deceiving you.”
Another person immediately added, “Every idea came from her. She created that group, too.”
Bianca spun around.
“You’re using me as a shield?”
“Weren’t you the one always saying you understood her best?”
“You all placed bets, too!”
“You were the one who put down ten thousand dollars!”
That group, silent for three years, finally turned on each other in a desperate attempt to clear their own names.
I didn’t interrupt.
The complete chat record was still on the screen.
Who suggested what. Who agreed. Who laughed. Every name was there.
An elder rapped the table.
“This is not a clubhouse.”
The arguing stopped.
The review office rejected Bianca’s objection to my role as project lead on the spot.
She was ordered to correct the false accusations she had made about me in the Nightfall public channel and fulfill the public apology she had promised three years ago.
The people who had taken part in the two fake injury tests would each face a pack disciplinary review.
Bianca stood up.
“Just because she has status now, all of you are siding with her?”
I closed my laptop.
“Three years ago, I didn’t have status, and the record was still the same.”
“What changed isn’t the truth.”
I looked at her.
“It’s that you no longer get to define reality for everyone else.”
