He Scorned My Love Now He Watches My Rise Chapter 20

The Nightfall pack’s assembly hall was full on the day of the public review.

The high-ranking werewolves who had laughed at me in the club three years ago sat in the last two rows of the gallery.

There was no alcohol, and no one dared to start a betting pool.

Bianca sat in the seat reserved for the objecting party.

She wore a sharply tailored suit, her back held perfectly straight.

“My objection to Siobhan leading this project is not based on personal resentment.”

She looked toward the elders’ seats.

“She once had a mate relationship with the Alpha heir. Three years ago, after their breakup, she had a large volume of private records posted in a public channel, causing damage to many people’s reputations and careers.”

“Allowing her to participate in a core Nightfall transport line creates a clear conflict of interest.”

An elder asked, “Who published the records?”

Bianca paused.

“Colton.”

“Then why are you objecting to Siobhan rather than Colton?”

A flicker of something crossed her face.

“Because the records came from her.”

When it was my turn, I projected the first screenshot onto the screen.

The group name was only five words.

*How Long Can She Hold Out.*

Below it were the records of Bianca adding me back into the chat. Twice.

[Aren’t you ending things? Let everyone see how many days you can keep pretending.]

[Why not bet, too? Guess what time you’ll go back and beg Colt to complete the claim.]

“Is this screenshot fake?” I asked.

Bianca folded her arms.

“No. But friends joke around. You can’t take it out of context.”

I played the airport video she had sent me.

Her voice rang through the hall.

“If she’s really willing to leave, I will apologize to her in front of the entire Nightfall pack.”

When the video ended, I displayed the full timestamp.

Then came my boarding record, my three-year overseas contract, and my Crimson Sand guest residency permit.

“I did leave.”

I looked at her.

“Where’s your apology?”

Someone in the gallery lowered their head.

Bianca’s face went white.

“My work was affected, and my friends abandoned me. You already got what you wanted.”

“What did I want?”

“To have everyone on your side.”

I brought up the bank records.

Every shared expense from those three years was listed clearly.

The final transfer of eighteen thousand, nine hundred and sixty dollars had been sent to Colton on the day I flew out.

Then came the records showing I canceled the ceremony, paid the deposit myself, and returned the access card and jewelry.

“Three years ago, you said I did all this to get an apartment, residency rights, and the Luna position.”

“Now you’re saying I did it so everyone would pity me.”

I looked straight at her.

“Whenever the facts don’t match your narrative, does that automatically make it my scheme?”

Bianca’s lips parted.

At that moment, the hall doors opened.

Colton walked in.
