He Scorned My Love Now He Watches My Rise Chapter 15
No one answered.
Within half an hour, she had been removed from over a dozen group chats.
Women she had once insulted started speaking up, too.
One had merely spoken to Colton a few times and been labeled as someone using the Alpha to boost her own status.
Another had worn a designer dress, and Bianca had hounded her, demanding to know which high-ranking werewolf had paid for it.
Bianca always said she was just blunt, never malicious.
Now that people were treating her the same way, she couldn’t take it.
Her work was affected, too.
She called Colton dozens of times.
He didn’t answer a single one.
That afternoon, he boarded a flight to Red Sand territory.
The next day, I had just finished an on-site meeting when I saw him standing outside the project office.
Colton looked like he hadn’t slept all night. His shirt was wrinkled, and exhaustion shadowed his eyes.
It was the first time I had ever seen him so worn down.
Before, no matter how desperately I rushed to him, he was always seated calmly in the middle of a crowd, watching me as if I were a performance.
Now it was his turn to fly thousands of miles to find me.
“We need to talk.”
“We said everything on the phone.”
“In person. Five minutes, that’s all.”
I checked the time.
“Then five minutes.”
Colton followed me downstairs.
He took the watch out of his bag—the one that had already been returned once.
“I bought it back.”
His name was still engraved on the back.
I glanced at it.
“If you like it, keep it.”
“I don’t want the watch. I want to tell you that I know I was wrong.”
“About what?”
“I shouldn’t have believed Bianca. I shouldn’t have let them humiliate you. And I shouldn’t have let them make your background a joke.”
His voice was hoarse.
“You’re not a gold digger. You were never after my money or the Luna title.”
I looked at him calmly.
“So you came all this way because you finally investigated and decided I’m innocent?”
“No. I came because I want you to come back.”
“Colton, Bianca may have handed you the knife.”
I pushed the watch back into his hands.
“But every time, you were the one who used it.”
