Bound To The Wrong Mafia Boss Loved By The Right Golden Boy Chapter 01

The Contract

I spent five years bankrupting myself to save my bodyguard’s life, only to find him healthy, rich, and in love with my adopted sister. So when I woke up, still young and alive, I sent my love letters to the dickless psycho mafia heir.

As the mafia heiress of the Sinclair Family, I was born sick.

Weak lungs, weak heart, weak everything.

So my father, Don Sinclair, arranged a contracted fiancé for me.

A soldier. A protector. Dominic Graves.

But on the day of the wedding, he suddenly fell ill.

For five years, I believed he was dying.

I went from mafia heiress to a singer at filthy underground bars just to pay for his treatments.

I swallowed every ounce of pride I had. I endured the nasty stares, the pity, the disgust. All for him.

Then one night, walking home after a shift, I saw him.

Sitting in a Rolls-Royce. Healthy. Smiling. My adopted sister curled up against his chest.

His driver’s voice drifted through the cracked window: “It’s been five years, Boss. Miss Sinclair still hasn’t given up on you. Why not just tell her the truth? Give her some money and let her go. She’s broke anyway, she’ll take it. Then you and Mira can finally be together in the open.”

Looking at my adopted sister nestled in his arms, I finally realized that it was all a lie.

A truck hit me on the way home.

Still, Dominic shielded my body with his.

Dying in my arms, he slapped away my hand when I tried to touch his face.

“Lying to you all these years was my fault.” His voice was fading. “But if I could do it all over again, my heart still wouldn’t change. So if there’s a next life, just let me love her openly.”

I cried tears of blood.

When I opened my eyes, I was twenty-two again. Still in my father’s house. Still engaged to him.

I ripped the contract in half.

“The psycho without a dick down South? Sign me up.”

…

My father stared at me like I’d lost my mind. “You want to marry Kieran Ashford? Why? Last night you were crying and begging for Dominic to marry you.”

I smiled bitterly. “Changed my mind.”

“But Kieran Ashford, since he lost his… you know… he’s been violent. Unstable. You go there, you might get…” He couldn’t finish the sentence.

I knew.

Marrying into the Ashford family probably meant getting beaten on a regular Tuesday.

But…

“The Ashfords are the biggest family in the South. I marry him, the Sinclairs only go up.” I narrowed my eyes.

Besides, if he’s not a good man, I’m not exactly a good woman either.

Let’s see which one of us kills the other first.

My father wanted to argue. But he knew me. He sighed, gave in, and added a full security detail to my dowry. “If you regret it, just tell me. I don’t care about what you can bring to this family. If it doesn’t work, we tear up the contract. It’s fine.”

My eyes stung.

I walked out before the tears could fall.

And crashed straight into a hard chest.

“Miss Sinclair.” Dominic. His voice was flat, respectful, rehearsed. “I already have someone I want to spend my life with. I hope you’ll inform the Boss and cancel our engagement.”

“But I didn’t…”

I stopped midway.

The audacity.

In my past life, I would have crumbled. But now I looked at him and almost laughed.

“You’re nothing but a dog the Sinclairs raised.” My voice came out cold and sharp. “You don’t get a say in who I marry.”

He froze.

He never expected that from me. Not from the girl who used to follow him around like a lost puppy.

“But…”

His tone shifted, slightly more respectful, but I cut him off. “You’re a soldier on my father’s payroll. Where you go, who you marry, that’s not your call.”

His fist clenched at his side.

I turned and walked away.
