He Gave My Ring To Her Now He Wears His Regret Chapter 11

In the video, I sketched six little portraits, one by one.

Nico, Alessia, Marco, Leo, Sofia, and me.

At the end, I drew a circle connecting all of us.

Smiling, I said, “This time, there’s finally a place for me.”

Nico snapped the laptop shut.

But my words were already seared into his mind.

At the head table, I had carefully left six seats.

And on our pre-wedding trip, they had used seven blank cards to tell me there was never any place for me at all.

His phone rang.

It was the wedding planner, her voice still tinged with professional courtesy.

“Mr. Santoro, the custom Vera Wang gown Ms. Cross ordered has arrived.”

“Now that the wedding is canceled, how would you like us to proceed?”

Nico paused.

“Send it here.”

That afternoon, the dress was delivered to his apartment.

A staff member unzipped the garment bag.

At the waist, where six silver stars had once been embroidered, there were now only five.

Nico recognized their meaning at once.

They had represented the six of us.

The one that symbolized me had been removed.

The staff member explained, “Ms. Cross sent a message last night.”

“She said six stars were no longer necessary.”

“She asked us to remove the one that represented her.”

“She said five would be enough.”

Nico stood there for a long time without saying a word.
