He Married Another So I Accepted My Arranged Husband Chapter 09
The more he read, the more he panicked. Finally, he decided to try one last thing.
“Maybe she’s just angry,” he muttered to himself. “She’s waiting for me to come find her.”
He immediately found my number and called again.
The number had been disconnected.
With red-rimmed eyes, he sent two messages.
*Indigo, where are you?*
*I was wrong.*
The messages failed to deliver.
He stared at the screen, the color draining from his face.
Then he looked up at Talia.
“Call Indigo.”
Talia gave him a resentful look.
“She’s already married. Why are you still trying to contact her?”
“She didn’t even talk to you before she left and signed papers with the Bellandi Family. And you still want her back?”
“She is unbelievably vindictive.”
Salvatore didn’t hear a word.
His voice was raw.
“Call her.”
Talia had no choice but to dial my number.
Just like for him, the call didn’t go through.
At that moment, Marco called again, his voice frantic.
“Sal, where are you?”
“The office lines are blowing up. Every partner wants out. Even the Ferraro-controlled ports have revoked Northstar’s priority access.”
“Get to the office. Now. If you don’t show up, the council is going to rule that you’ve damaged Family interests.”
I hadn’t expected the terminations to be executed so quickly, either.
