He Priced Me At A Penny So I Married Another Chapter 19

“I explained everything to the flea market organizers. I made a public statement about the video, too. I treated your feelings like a joke. None of what happened that day was your fault.”

Carol had already told me about that.

After he went back, Derek recorded a public apology video and laid out everything that had happened that day. He admitted he had grabbed me, and he admitted that he had let Tori cut the corner of the quilt.

The friends who had laughed along with him started cursing him instead, saying people had recognized them and that it was all Derek’s fault.

Mark’s girlfriend saw the train video, canceled two venue tours for their wedding, and then broke up with him.

Mrs. Lawson took Derek to find the event organizer, but she refused to let them into her office.

“The women who come to this market trust us to keep them safe. You treated an unsuspecting woman like merchandise. If I let you participate again, who would ever trust me after that?”

Tori had tried to wash her hands of it, too. She publicly posted the chats where Derek told her to prepare the poster, and she also shared messages where he mocked me in private.

Derek told her to move out. She showed up with the key card instead and insisted he honor his promise that she could stay as long as she liked.

The people who used to laugh at me were now fighting through a door.
