He Stole My Children I Refused His Crown Chapter 21
“It’s… still being verified.”
“You hadn’t verified it, yet you arrested a royal officer and were preparing to strip a Pack Alpha of his command while he was fighting at the front?”
King Adrian slammed his hand on the table.
“Who authorized this?”
The committee head instinctively glanced at Lucian.
That one look was enough.
At that moment, Alpha Conrad stepped forward.
Everyone assumed he would speak on Lucian’s behalf. Instead, he handed an encrypted storage device to the royal guard.
“I also wish to accuse Prince Lucian.”
“He used an abandoned iron mine in Redhaven territory to establish an illegal weapons factory and train an unregistered armed force, intending to seize control of the capital during the succession.”
“The factory ledgers, access logs, and the manager’s testimony are all here. I am willing to submit to a full investigation and admit Redhaven’s failure of oversight.”
Lucian looked as if he’d been physically struck.
He lunged at Alpha Conrad.
“You dare forge evidence to frame the heir to the throne!”
The royal guard immediately restrained him.
King Adrian only had to read a few pages projected onto the screen before his expression turned grim.
“Lucian, is this why you were so eager to manufacture a treason case against Ironvale?”
Lucian opened his mouth, but he had no explanation for why his estate’s authorization code appeared in the factory’s access logs.
He collapsed back into his chair, unable to form a single coherent sentence.
