I Died In His Arms Now I’ll Marry Another Chapter 10
Callum would be here today, too.
He lived in seclusion and rarely attended public events in the capital.
Emilia sat down beside me. Noticing me glance toward the entrance, she hesitated before saying, “Adrian’s car is parked in the west lot. After the event, you can go find him.”
What was she up to now?
The look in my eyes must have irritated her.
“Why are you looking at me like that? If my brother didn’t like you, I’d never be talking to you in the first place!”
“Relax. I’m not interested in Adrian. And I’m not competing with you anymore.”
She was about to argue when a chime announced the arrival of the royal party.
Everyone rose to their feet.
Alpha King Roland came down the central aisle, flanked by Dominic and Adrian.
Walking on the king’s other side was a lean man.
His right leg was clearly impaired. Noticing this, King Roland discreetly slowed his pace.
I didn’t know what the king said, but the man turned his head and smiled faintly.
Sunlight streamed through the high windows, falling over his pale brows and eyes. He looked cool and fragile, yet there was a quiet strength about him that made him impossible to ignore.
So this was Callum.
I pointed him out to Emilia.
“That’s my future husband.”
Emilia nearly jumped out of her seat.
“A sick man everyone’s forgotten, who can barely even walk? What does my brother lack compared to him? Laurel, are you insane?”
I didn’t care.
So what if his leg was disabled?
Everyone thought I was insane anyway.
