I Made His Wife’s Dress Now I’ll Marry Another Chapter 50
My mother would need three months of recovery after her discharge.
I decided to take her to Paris. I also invited Sofia to visit my studio for a short stay as part of the guardianship evaluation. Whether she came or not would be up to her and her lawyer.
“You’ve already found a place?” Julien asked.
“An old print shop by the canal. Good light, expensive rent, and a leaking roof.”
“That does sound like a place you’d choose.”
He pulled a document from his briefcase.
I thought it was an investment proposal from the foundation. When I opened it, I found it was only the lease information for the atelier next door to mine.
“I never rented that one out,” he said. “If you need to use the shared equipment, knock. If you don’t, I’ll keep the door shut. No strings attached.”
“Mr. Moreau, it seems you’ve finally learned not to write contracts for other people.”
“I had an excellent teacher.”
“One more thing.” I slid the papers back toward him. “If we share equipment, we split the costs at market rates. My studio doesn’t accept care without boundaries.”
Julien took out a pencil and wrote *independent accounting* in the blank space at the bottom.
“How’s that?”
“Negotiable.”
