I Survived My Father’s Test And Took His Throne Chapter 05

I Survived My Father’s Test And Took His Throne Chapter 05

Later, through castle records and my father’s own confession, I pieced together what happened that night.

My father stayed by Evelyn’s bedside the entire night.

Evelyn had only fainted briefly from blood loss and shock. She woke up soon enough, but my father remained deeply unsettled, replaying the sight of me begging him to call a healer.

He had deeply loved my mother, Queen Helena.

After she died, he never chose another mate, and the royal family recognized no Luna Queen but her.

She left behind Evelyn and me.

When I was five and Evelyn was two, my father announced to every pack that he would choose the future heir to the throne from his two daughters.

We were completely different from the start.

I loved reading and excelled at analyzing Council matters. By the age of ten, I was already joining water management teams to help resolve river disputes between packs.

Evelyn loved sports and parties and had no interest in governance.

So when I was ten, my father entered me into the royal succession record as first in line.

From then on, he was strict with me, but because he felt guilty about it, he spoiled Evelyn all the more.

If I failed a lesson, my training was suspended as punishment. If Evelyn failed, she got a few comforting words.
