My Family Stole My Run I Returned A Leader Chapter 06

If Paloma had just gone to Gray Harbor, why burn all his letters?

Stefan pulled out his phone and dialed my number.

“The number you have dialed is no longer in service.”

The mechanical voice was cold in his ear.

Stefan froze.

Then he opened his social media app and tried to send me a message.

A notification popped up: Message failed to send.

“She blocked me.”

His voice was dry.

Tony didn’t believe him and tried calling from his own phone.

The same result.

The family stood there in silence.

“What exactly is she trying to do?”

My father’s face darkened.

“She blocked the entire family just because we asked her to rent an apartment?”

Stefan tightened his grip on his phone. Looking at the empty room, he finally said,

“She might not have gone where we think she did.”

“Not where we thought?”

“Then where else could she have gone?”

Tony gave a derisive snort.

“With grades so bad she could only get into a community college?”

“No real standing in wolf-form training, no money to her name?”

“If she doesn’t go to Gray Harbor and rely on us, what else can she do?”

My mother sounded just as certain.

“She’s just throwing a tantrum.”

“She changed her number on purpose to make us worry.”

“Just ignore her.”

“In a few days, she’ll come back on her own.”

Bella bit her lip, her eyes reddening again.

“This is all my fault.”

“If I hadn’t wanted to go on vacation, Paloma wouldn’t have gotten this angry.”

“Dad, call her academy counselor.”

“What if something happened to her while she was transferring territories?”
