My Fiancé Chose Her So I Chose Myself Chapter 15

My Fiancé Chose Her So I Chose Myself Chapter 15

“That’s not—”

“It is,” I cut her off. “Three years ago, you took my birthday gift to curry favor with Jenna. You didn’t think she was using people back then. You were just used to stepping over my boundaries to gain acceptance in your little circle.”

I stood up.

“The protection rules didn’t tell you to steal. They didn’t tell you to insult a sick packmate. Those were your choices.”

“Now that the consequences have finally reached you, you want me to come back and clean up your mess. That’s not going to happen.”

I signaled to the lobby manager.

“Please have her leave. If she comes looking for me again, issue a no-entry notice under hotel and neutral-territory policy.”

Hotel security escorted Brooke toward the doors. She kept turning back, calling my name, but I didn’t respond.

That night, Travis did something no one expected.

At a TerraGrid management meeting, he fired Jenna and eliminated her position, the one that had never had any real responsibilities.

After a review by company counsel and a Lakecrest council inspector, he posted a public statement on professional platforms and pack channels.

He admitted to granting Jenna unsupervised company access and listed the expenses and conflicts of interest confirmed by an internal investigation. He apologized to his employees, the board, and the members of Lakecrest, and announced that he was revoking his status as her protection contact and cutting off all personal contact with her.

His lawyer also sent Jenna a civil recovery notice, demanding the return of all unauthorized assets.

Documents, receipts, and dates were attached to the statement. The image Jenna had cultivated for years collapsed overnight.

Late that night, Marissa told me what had happened.

All I said was, “I know.”

Travis thought that by publicly destroying Jenna, he could prove he had finally chosen me.

He still didn’t understand. A choice that should have been made three years ago meant nothing now.
