My Fiancé Erased Our Nine-Year Mark For His Blood Servant Chapter 03

Wait for Me

Something inside me finally goes cold.

I don’t want to argue anymore.

Right now, I only want to take my family’s heirloom jewelry and leave.

“Adrian, give me my family’s jewelry back.”

Something flickers across his face, but he answers quickly.

“Sophia will be wearing it at the wedding.”

“What?”

Anger cuts through my numbness.

“Those heirlooms belong to House Blackwood. They’ve been passed down through my bloodline for centuries. You have no right to take them, let alone put them on Sophia.”

Adrian’s expression hardens.

“Don’t be unreasonable, Evelyn. She’s only borrowing them for the wedding.”

He says it as if that makes any of this acceptable.

“You’ll get them back after Sophia is gone.”

I stare at him.

So that’s his solution.

My wedding. My home. My family’s heirlooms.

Sophia gets to have them all first.

Then, when she dies, I’m supposed to take back whatever she leaves behind.

Perhaps sensing my anger, Adrian’s voice softens.

“I’ve prepared a villa for you. It’s exactly the way you like it—quiet, private, everything arranged to suit you.”

He steps closer.

“You can stay there for now. Once this is over, I’ll come back for you.”

This whole thing is ridiculous.

“So that’s your plan?”

Adrian frowns.

“You marry Sophia, give her my home, my wedding, even my family’s heirlooms—and put me in some beautiful villa to wait for you?”

Anger finally burns out.

“What do you think I am, Adrian? A bird you can lock in a gilded cage until you decide to come back?”

“Evelyn, that’s not what I mean.”

“Then what do you mean?”

Before he can answer, Sophia’s weak voice comes from behind him.

“Please don’t fight because of me.”

She looks pale, one hand pressed lightly to her chest.

“Adrian, I’m fine. Evelyn is already upset enough. You don’t have to—”

Her body suddenly sways.

Adrian turns immediately and catches her.

“Sophia.”

“I’m okay,” she whispers, forcing a fragile smile. “I’m just a little weak.”

Adrian’s expression changes at once.

Concern replaces everything else.

Then, right in front of me, he pulls Sophia into his arms, lowers his head, and sinks his fangs into her neck.

I freeze.

As he drinks, the Blood Servant mark begins to glow, sending his strength back through the bond and into her weak body.

I know exactly how intimate a vampire’s bite can be.

And he does it in front of me without a second thought.

Sophia’s fingers curl into his shirt as she leans against him.

I can’t watch anymore.

“Enough.”

Adrian lifts his head.

I don’t wait for him to speak.

“Keep your villa. Keep your wedding.”

My gaze falls on Sophia before returning to him.

“And keep her.”

I turn and walk out without looking back.

Adrian speaks coldly behind me.

“Stop her.”

The guards at the door immediately block my way.

“Evelyn stays here.”

I turn back.

Adrian is still holding Sophia in his arms.

“She’ll help Sophia with her wedding dress fitting this afternoon.”
