My Fiancé Sent Me To Another Man On Our Wedding Day Chapter 03

Not long after we pulled away, my phone buzzed.

An iMessage.

From Margot.

*Helena, what a perfect day. Rafael just gave me a wedding gift. Look—isn’t it pretty?*

I opened the photo, and my blood ran cold.

It was the emerald bracelet my mother had left me.

It had been her most prized possession, and it was the only thing I had left of my family.

Because I was so young, Rafael’s mother had kept it for me all these years.

She had promised to give it back to me on my wedding day.

But now, it was on Margot’s wrist.

“Stop the car.”

The driver didn’t flinch.

I raised my voice. “I said, stop the car.”

The driver kept his hands on the wheel, his eyes fixed on the road.

“My apologies, Miss Helena. I have a specific route to follow. I can’t stop.”

That’s when I understood. Even the driver was one of Rafael’s men.

From the very beginning, they had left me no way out.

I glanced back.

Rafael’s car was right behind us.

I couldn’t get out, so I called him.
