My Fiancé Sent Me To Another Man On Our Wedding Day Chapter 35

Three years later, my company moved into a new office building.

On opening day, Chloe brought our very first door plaque.

“CEO, should we keep this?”

I took the plaque from her and smiled.

“Yes.”

It had seen us through our hardest days. It had also seen us get to where we are now.

While the staff was downstairs taking a group photo, I received an anonymous email.

It was just a few lines.

Margot wrote that she had left New York and started over in a new city.

After losing the company, her parents had never stopped blaming each other, and they had never contacted her again.

She said she would take responsibility for her actions and would never bother me again.

The final line read:

*Helena, the thing I envied most was never what you had. It was that no matter how much I took from you, there was something about you I could never touch.*

I read it, then closed the email.

I didn’t reply.

Whatever she had come to understand had nothing to do with me.
