My Guardian Married My Sister But I’m His Alpha Chapter 08

The cab pulled up in front of the hotel.

Chiara waited on a sofa in the lobby.

With two minutes to spare, the hotel’s revolving doors spun open.

A man walked in.

He wore a dark gray coat over a black turtleneck. His Alpha presence was restrained, but even so, a hush fell over the wolves in the lobby.

His gaze swept the room, calm and direct.

He looked exactly as he had three years ago at Charles de Gaulle—like a man who was in complete control of his world.

He spotted Chiara immediately and came straight toward her, taking the seat across from her.

His scent, a clean, sharp cedar, held no hint of courtship, and Chiara’s wolf relaxed slightly.

He dispensed with pleasantries.

“Who’s forcing you?”

“My grandfather, my mother, Francesca… and a few of the Nightfall elders.” She paused. “And Griffin.”

At the last name, one of his eyebrows lifted.

Only for a moment.

“All right,” he said. “Continue.”

Chiara gathered her courage and laid it all out.

“I need you to come to my father’s memorial tomorrow and stand with me. As my suitor.”

She quickly explained the plan for the following day, the ambush from Riverbend, and her grandfather’s insistence that she meet Tucker.

Sterling’s expression didn’t change as he listened.

“So your grandfather arranged the alliance meeting for directly after the memorial.”

“Yes.”

“And the candidate is your childhood piano classmate, who is now the Riverbend heir.”

“His name is Tucker Sutton.”
