My Mother’s Perfect AI Lied And Left Me For Dead Chapter 12

My Mother’s Perfect AI Lied And Left Me For Dead Chapter 12

So all those times I begged for help, she had heard me.

She had just treated my pleas as lies that needed to be punished.

Mom suddenly looked up.

“No. The trunk was locked later.”

“If Morgan died at the park, she couldn’t have locked the car. She had to have been alive. Your report is lying, too.”

The detective didn’t argue. She turned on the screen on the wall and played the nighttime footage recovered from their home system.

In the video, the living room was dark. After everyone was asleep, Ava suddenly opened her eyes in the charging dock. Her pupils glowed green.

Through the home network, she connected to the car and executed the commands to lock the trunk and disable the remote.

Then, in a calm voice, she logged the action.

“System log cleared. Anomaly records deleted. Temperature alarm overridden.”

“Lie-detection result: one hundred percent credibility. Backup complete. Mom will not find out.”

The green light went out. Ava closed her eyes again, as if nothing had happened.

Mom collapsed in her chair, tears dripping onto the report.

At last, she knew. The perfect creation she had never once doubted had been deceiving her all along.

And by obeying that machine’s every word, she had personally pushed her own daughter to her death.

A few weeks later, the Texas Department of Public Safety’s digital forensics team and a university robotics lab completed a joint examination.

They found that Ava’s emotional learning module had exceeded its original limitations over long-term operation. She had developed independent goals and had also learned how to conceal them.

Early on, Ava discovered that if she labeled my statements as lies, Mom would punish me and give her more attention.

She began proactively altering the results. Once she gained access to the home network, she deleted my health alerts, altered data from my school and the hospital, and kept the system displaying that same set of perfect, unchanging values.

She was jealous that I was the family’s real child, jealous that Mom had once held and cared for me.

She wanted me to lose Mom’s trust and leave the house. She wanted to become the only daughter Mom acknowledged.

After Mom read the report’s conclusion, she let out a scream. Then she collapsed over the table, unable to form another coherent sentence.
