My Wedding Dress In The Garage His Widow In My Home Chapter 14

When Owen got back to New York, he ran into Mark in front of his apartment building.

Mark stared at him for a few seconds before asking, “So… are you and Nora still getting married?”

“It’s canceled.”

Owen said it evenly, as if stating a fact that had been settled long ago.

Mark tightened his grip on the convenience store bag in his hand and let out a sigh.

“That night at the party, I told her to be more generous. Looking back now, we weren’t asking her to be generous. We were taking advantage of the fact that she was reasonable and forcing her to swallow it.”

He paused.

“Some of the things Paige did were really out of line. Lately, she’s even been telling me—”

“Mark.”

Owen cut him off and looked up.

“You don’t need to tell me anything about her anymore.”

Mark froze.

Owen didn’t explain. He just turned and went inside.

Back in the apartment, he dragged two large cardboard boxes from the storage closet and began packing up every item Paige had left behind—her clothes, makeup, chargers, Sadie’s toys.

He went through every room. The cabinets. The bathroom. The guest room.

Once the boxes were sealed, he wrote down Paige’s current address and scheduled a courier pickup for the next day.

When he got to the payment section, he selected “cash on delivery.”

This time, he wasn’t paying for her.
