Reborn Rupture Chapter 04
During the break, I went to the restroom.
The moment I closed the stall door, I heard a click as someone locked it from the outside.
Krystal’s laugh echoed from the other side.
“Virginia, you were pretty tough a minute ago. If you beg me, I’ll only dump a little water on you.”
The next second, a bucket of ice water crashed over the top of the stall.
I was soaked.
Krystal and her friends shrieked with laughter.
I wiped the water from my face, took two steps back, and slammed my shoulder into the door.
*Bang!*
The cheap lock snapped.
I burst out, grabbed Krystal by the hair, and shoved her face-first into the filthy sink.
“Ahhh—!”
She shrieked, struggling against my grip.
Her three friends just stood there, stunned into silence.
Pinning her down, I leaned in close.
“I have zero interest in Matteo,” I said, my voice low and cold.
“Stay away from me. Got it?”
Just then, Matteo rushed in and slapped me hard across the face.
*Smack!*
Pain exploded across my cheek.
“Virginia, what the hell? This is bullying!”
He pulled Krystal away from the sink and shielded her with his body.
The vice principal, drawn by the commotion, hurried in.
“What is going on here?”
Krystal immediately buried her face in Matteo’s chest, sobbing.
“I don’t know why she attacked me. ”
“I’m just… I’m close with Matteo. ”
“If she didn’t like it, she could have just told me. Why would she do this?”
Matteo glared at me.
“Virginia hit her first.”
I let out a cold laugh.
“Then maybe you can explain why I’m soaking wet. ”
“There are cameras at the restroom entrance and in the hall. Let’s go see who started this.”
The vice principal looked from me to Matteo.
I could tell he didn’t want to make a big deal out of it.
Matteo and I were both top students, important for the school’s admission stats.
In the end, he just shot Krystal a stern look.
“Krystal, you will write a formal apology. You’ll read it to the entire school at the Monday morning assembly.”
Krystal glared at me, her eyes filled with hate.
“Virginia Bennett, this isn’t over!”
