Reborn Rupture Chapter 22

Reborn Rupture Chapter 22

“Then wait until he actually gets in. As he is now, he’s not worthy of me.”

My parents joined me, helping to clear the last of her things out of our house.

The door slammed shut.

I turned and looked at them, my voice firm.

“Mom, Dad. Let’s move.”

They exchanged a look, then nodded in unison.

“We’ll move,” my dad said. “We’ll start looking for a new house tomorrow.”

We ended up moving to another state.

I changed my phone number and cut off all contact with my old life.

My parents’ careers continued to flourish, and their boss even gave them a few extra days off.

We decided to take a family trip to Europe.

We visited several countries.

The cities were beautiful, the air was clean, and as the days passed, I felt the weight of my past finally begin to lift.

In mid-August, I arrived on campus, my Harvard acceptance letter in hand.

The school of my dreams.

I had finally made it.

Later, I heard from an old neighbor that Matteo never went to college that year.

He stayed home to reapply.

This time, Mrs. Romano watched him like a hawk, practically monitoring him while he ate and slept.

The pressure was so intense that Matteo developed severe insomnia, and his hair began to fall out in clumps.

When he applied again the following year, his scores were even worse.

In the end, he was only accepted into a local community college.

Things were even messier for Krystal.
