Reborn To Reject My Alpha And Watch His World Burn Chapter 17
When Nolan saw the document, his eyes turned red.
“Iris, when we became mates, we promised we would never leave each other, no matter what.”
“Have you forgotten?”
He pulled a crying Ethan in front of him.
“And Ethan. He’s the child you nearly died to bring into this world.”
“Can you really throw away our five years together? Can you really leave him and me behind?”
My mother tightened her grip on my hand, afraid I would weaken.
I gently patted her hand, then turned to face the father and son before me.
“Nolan, what right do you have to talk about promises?”
“You were the one who betrayed me. To protect Serena, you threw me to the wolves, and then you killed our child with your own hands.”
“You already gave up on me. Why can’t I give up on you?”
Then I looked at Ethan.
“You inherited your father’s name, and you learned from him how to sacrifice the person closest to you for your own benefit.”
“The application to dissolve our bond was my decision. I don’t want the Luna title, I don’t want either of you, and I don’t want anything else in Ironridge.”
I got into my parents’ car without a backward glance.
Nolan tried to follow, but the Royal Guard assigned to protect me stopped him. My father coldly warned him that if he took one more step, his threatening behavior would be submitted to the Royal Council along with everything else.
When I returned home to Westlake, all the strength finally drained from my body, and I slept for an entire day.
What happened afterward in Ironridge, I learned from the royal investigation report and the updates my father brought home.
