Reborn To Reject My Regretful Mate For The King Chapter 16
Julian’s eyes turned red.
“How long have you even known her?”
Gavin leaned back in his wheelchair and looked at me.
“If you don’t believe me, ask her yourself.”
Julian and Adrian both turned to me.
The wind rustled through the courtyard, carrying the damp scent of earth and leaves.
I cleared my throat.
“He’s right.”
“I choose Gavin. I’m staying here, and I will share his fate, whatever it may be.”
Gavin smiled, satisfied.
Julian’s face fell, his expression turning grim.
“Are you doing this just to punish me?”
“No.”
I met his gaze without flinching.
“Knowing someone longer doesn’t mean you love them more.”
“Julian, in this life, you are nothing more than an old acquaintance.”
Then I turned to Adrian.
I remembered the moment in my last life when the rogues dragged me away. He had stood on the side of the road, watching it all, and refused to tell Julian where I’d gone.
“The moment you drugged me with wolfsbane and sent me to die in Evelyn’s place, you stopped being my brother.”
“Don’t ever show your face to me again.”
“We are nothing to each other.”
Adrian and Julian looked like they wanted to say more.
I had already turned and walked back inside the house.
Gavin said only one thing. “Rhys, see them out.”
The Royal Guards immediately dragged them out of the courtyard.
