Revenge On My Feet Chapter 17
Renata sprang up, the phone camera lurching wildly.
“I only loosened one screw! Who knew she’d fall so spectacularly?”
The words were barely out before the comment section stalled for a few seconds.
Then a flood of messages started pouring in.
Renata finally grasped what she’d just confessed to.
She grabbed for her phone to cut the stream.
But Desmond hadn’t finished.
“Why did you go to Renwick Group to report me?”
Her hand stopped.
“Because you deserved it!”
“After the Bellini job fell through, all you cared about was finding Nadia.”
“Then when you finally got a job at Renwick, you still ignored me.”
“If I’m going to be miserable, why should you get to have a career?”
The screen went black.
By the next morning, the livestream had been taken down.
But my lawyer let me know the whole video had already been preserved.
I didn’t reach out to Desmond.
And I didn’t ask Renata for any explanation.
I simply handed over the school forum posts, the Instagram videos, and the livestream recording.
They had finally begun telling each other the truth.
And I no longer needed to stand between them.

Once he’d gone through the materials, my lawyer was matter-of-fact.
“A lot of the harm happened a long time ago. Relying solely on your memory, it will be difficult to pursue every incident legally.”
“But the fact that she continued to publicly post your medical images, and reposted them after you objected, is very clear.”

“Desmond also repeatedly waited for you at your workplace over a long period, and Renwick Group has records of it.”
“We can demand that they cease all contact and seek damages for invasion of privacy.”
I nodded.
“Then let’s do what we can.”
“I don’t need to turn every single slight into a court case.”
“I just need them to stop using my body as a performance.”
