The Betrayed Luna Chapter 06
Alden didn’t sign. He assumed I was bluffing.
Until one week later—the Full Moon Gala.
Alden hadn’t expected me to attend.
When he saw me walk into the ballroom in a couture red gown, radiant and commanding, a flash of stunned admiration crossed his eyes before his brow furrowed.
Viola was there too, wearing a loose white dress—still playing the delicate little wallflower.
Seeing me, jealousy flickered through her gaze before she rearranged her features into sweetness. She took Alden’s arm and approached:
“Luna, you look so beautiful tonight. Alpha said you don’t like these events—I thought you weren’t coming.”
I raised a glass of red wine to my lips and sipped. Didn’t spare her so much as a glance.
Alden lowered his voice in warning: “Heidi, there are important clients here tonight. Don’t cause trouble.”
I curved my lips. “Don’t worry, Alpha Alden. I’m here to deliver a gift.”
Halfway through the dinner, Alden took the stage to give a toast.
He stood under the spotlight, eloquent and poised, painting a bright future for Frostvale Pack.
Just as he raised his glass—the massive screen behind him flickered.
The border patrol footage that had been queued up was replaced by crystal-clear video and a cascade of chat screenshots.
The room erupted.
On that screen, Viola was making out with a young man in a bar.
The timestamp—the second month of Alden’s border patrol.
Then came the chat logs. Viola and her so-called “bestie”:
Thought Luna was the idiot—turns out Alpha’s even dumber. Cry a little and he drops hundreds of thousands on a bag for me.
Pregnant? How would I know whose it is? Either way, timing-wise, pinning it on Alpha Alden pays off the most.
Luna’s a barren old hag who can’t even have pups,he’ll definitely treasure this pup.
Once I deliver the pup, I’ll push that old hag out.
Everything Frostvale Pack owns will be MINE!
…
Every single line—a slap across Alden’s face.
The smile froze on his lips. He whipped around to stare at Viola below the stage, eyes brimming with disbelief and white-hot fury.
Viola had already collapsed to the floor, shaking violently, head swinging side to side:
“No… it’s not true… Alpha, Heidi set me up! She faked those screenshots!”
I picked up the microphone. Spoke calmly:
“Whether they’re faked—Alpha Alden is welcome to check Viola’s hotel booking records across the continent.”
“As for how far along the pup actually is—an amniocentesis will settle everything.”
“Alden, for a woman who lies through her teeth, you abandoned your mate, and you cut off my father’s life-saving treatment.”
“This gift—do you like it?”
Every eye in the room fixed on Alden. Mockery. Contempt. Morbid curiosity.
Alden’s face was bloodless.
This was supposed to be his finest hour—and instead, because of one woman, he’d made a spectacular fool of himself.
“You bitch!” Alden charged off the stage and backhanded Viola across the face.
“I treated you like a goddamn princess—and you cheated on me?!”
After several consecutive slaps, Viola finally snapped.
Face swelling grotesquely, she screamed hysterically:
“I’m pregnant, you psycho! If you beat me to death, that’s murder—and you’d be killing two people!”
“Don’t you fucking dare bring up that bastard child!”
Neither held back. After watching for a moment, I lost interest.
I heard the rest from Tessa later.
Alden personally dragged Viola to the Pack hospital for a bloodline test. Surprise of the century—the pup wasn’t his.
He went berserk right there in the hospital. Cancelled every card in her name. Threw her out of the villa.
Then reported her to the police for fraud and had her locked up.
