The Mafia Don Killed My Groom Then Buried Me Alive Chapter 07
Dig, You Bastard, Dig
Adrian’s eyes go glacial.
“Kind of looked like you?
You mean the girl you just buried?”
Selene shrugs, all careless.
“Yeah!
That’s why I had to smack her down.
She knew you were obsessed with me, so she used a face that kinda matched mine, hid out in your private wing, and tried to steal you.
Can you believe the nerve?
She even claimed she was your wife.
Like, literally called herself Mrs.
Vitale.
Nut job, right?”
She actually laughs.
Adrian’s face is stone.
Dead white.
He snaps his head to his guards.
“Where did you bury her?”
One of them points past the gate.
“East side, boss.
The empty lot behind the wing.”
Adrian takes off running.
“Adrian?
Baby, where are you going?!”
Selene stumbles after him in her heels.
The socialites and thugs trip along behind her.
The man who never runs, who never so much as walks fast — Adrian is sprinting.
Coat flying.
Face wild.
He hits the freshly turned dirt and drops to his knees.
Digs.
With his bare hands.
Clawing at the dirt like an animal.
Nails ripping.
Blood on his knuckles.
Won’t stop.
Selene catches up, panting, and her face twists.
“Adrian!
You’re the Don!
What the hell are you doing digging up a whore’s grave?!”
“You said you loved ME!”
“Are you seriously this worked up over some skank?”
He doesn’t hear her.
Doesn’t even blink.
He just digs.
Selene loses it.
“Adrian!
Snap out of it!
I’M the one you love!
You’re breaking my heart over some homewrecker?!”
“What did that bitch have that I don’t?!”
Her socialite chorus jumps in.
“Don Vitale, she just LOOKED like Selene, that’s it!”
“She tried to trick you!
Don’t fall for it!”
“She even said Selene was HER replacement — the delusional cow.
She got what she deserved!”
They pile on, dumping every insult they’ve got on my corpse.
Adrian doesn’t hear a single word.
He digs until his fingernails split.
Until his palms are raw meat.
Until the dirt turns dark red under him.
And then — my body.
He scoops me up like I’m made of glass.
Wipes the mud off my cheeks with shaking hands.
Wipes the blood.
He sees my face.
Really sees it.
He whips around and screams at his guards.
“GET ME A DOCTOR.
NOW!”
One of them steps forward, careful.
“Boss… she’s dead.
She’s already—”
Adrian rips the guy’s own pistol out of his holster and puts a bullet through his chest.
The guard drops.
Adrian stands there, breathing like a bull, my body cradled against him.
“Who the FUCK said she’s dead?”
“She doesn’t die unless I say she dies.”
