The Mafia Princess’s New Groom Chapter 05
Vincent’s face twisted with shock.
He roared.
“I’M the boss! You’re all turning on ME!”
I pressed my gun against his skull.
“Boss? You’re nothing but a traitor to this family.”
My men forced him to his knees and held him there.
Blood dripped from his arm, one drop at a time, pooling on the marble floor.
The wedding erupted into chaos.
Dominic rose to his feet, cool as ever.
“Everyone, relax. Today is a celebration, the union of the Russo and Mancini families. Sit back, enjoy the show. This won’t take long.”
He clapped one time.
Bosses from every major operation on the waterfront filed through the doors, one after another.
Each one stepped forward and announced, right there in front of God and everyone, that their dealings with Vincent were finished.
Every family in that room owed a debt to the Mancini name. My father’s name. Not Vincent.
In the early days, when the streets were chaos, and everyone was fighting to survive, those families rallied around my father.
That was the foundation everything was built on.
That was why the eighteen docks became the empire they were today.
Vincent could come after me.
But he couldn’t take on the entire network that kept him in power.
I walked up to him.
“So, Vincent. Is your little sweetheart everything you dreamed of?”
“A three-person wedding. That’s got to be a first in this city.”
“Where did you find the nerve to drag the Mancini name through the dirt like that?”
I drove the knife into the skin between his brows and twisted it.
Hard.
I used to be crazy about that face.
But time to rip it out and feed it to the dogs.
Vincent’s face contorted. Blood ran down his forehead, over his jaw, and seeped into his collar.
His voice came out shaking.
“Isabella, can you just stop? Please?”
“What is all this? Are you just trying to prove you’re tougher than me? You want the whole city talking?”
“This is exactly what I can’t stand about you. That attitude. That temper. What kind of woman doesn’t blink when she hurts people? Why can’t you be more like Sophia? Sweet. Gentle. Easy.”
I listened to him ramble, and something inside me almost laughed.
He actually thought this was a tantrum.
He thought I was jealous.
When all I did was smile, he took that as a sign he’d struck a nerve.
“Isabella. Move the gun. For old times’ sake, I’m still willing to marry you. But push me any further, and I won’t be so kind.”
He looked up at me, at the gun still pressed against his forehead.
“Get that thing off me! “
“Hurt me, and see what happens to you.”
I watched the arrogance still sitting on his face as if it belonged there.
I pulled the gun back, pressed it against his thigh, and put a bullet in Vincent’s thigh.
Shock flashed in his eyes. Then pain.
“Who do you think you are, Vincent? You’re a dog the Mancini family raised.”
“I let you hold the leash for a while, and you actually thought you were running things?”
“Cut his tendons and drag him to the pier. Let him bleed out with the fish.”
