The Mafia Princess’s Revenge Chapter 11

The Mafia Princess’s Revenge Chapter 11

Nicola’s head snapped toward her.

Marta curled her lip. “Oh. I forgot. You’ve all been so certain—she’s dead, haven’t you?”

My fingers stilled. All four men turned to look at me.

And this time, I didn’t tell them: my mother is alive.

I glanced at the date on my phone.

Five days. Sofia would come back herself.

When the time came—they’d find out on their own.

Marta was taken away. The room stayed quiet for a long time.

No one could bring themselves to look at me.

Finally, Giulio spoke first. “Elisa…”

I raised my eyes.

His voice came out rough. “Everything you’ve lost—I’ll give it all back.”

Adriano spoke immediately: “The people in Mexico. Every last one of them will answer for it.”

Elio stared at my right eye. “Your eye—I’ll find the best doctors…”

Nicola said nothing. He just stood there, watching me. After a long silence, he asked in a low voice: “Why didn’t you…”

He paused. “Why didn’t you try explaining one more time?”

I blinked. Then laughed. “I did explain.”

The room went instantly quiet.

“The first time, I explained for an entire night.”

“The second time, I got on my knees and begged you to check the surveillance.”

“The third time—right before I was shipped off to Mexico—I was still telling you it wasn’t me.”

I looked at them.

“You didn’t want to hear it.”

Silence.

I continued:

“Now you finally believe me. But I don’t need it anymore.”

Giulio’s face went pale.

“Elisa, we were deceived by Marta.”

“Deceived?”

For the first time, I found that word genuinely laughable. “Marta was right. All she did was lie. The one who sewed my mouth shut—was you.”

I looked at Giulio.

“The one who sent me to Mexico—was Adriano.”

“The one who destroyed my eye—was Elio.”

“And the one who heard me crying for help and told me ‘enough’—”

I looked last at Nicola. “—was you.”

None of them could say a word.

I stopped looking at them.

I just glanced down at my phone.

[Seven days.]
