“Vivian burned every reply letter you sent.”
“I was born with a poor memory. Without the letters, there are so many things I can’t remember. Please don’t blame me.”
Adrian comforted her for a long time.
But he still frowned.
“The Vivian I know may have been sheltered, but she doesn’t seem like someone who would destroy another person’s things for no reason. Is there some misunderstanding between you?”
Evelyn paused.
“You’ve only seen what she’s like in public.”
“She’s the daughter Father publicly acknowledged in the bloodline registry. She’s had the best of everything since she was a child. Back at our private residence, she always used her status to bully me.”
Adrian fell silent for a moment.
“I see.”
“You’ve suffered all these years.”
He decided to stand up for her.
