The Viper Stepmother’s Mafia Justice Chapter 20

The Viper Unleashed

Isabella became my live tether. Vincent thought she was still his spy.

So I let the Viper off her leash.

The target was the Oasis. Vincent’s largest underground casino. His money machine beneath the Strip.

I chose to break it myself.

At midnight, I strapped on Kevlar. Laced my boots. Pulled my hair back.

Leo stood in the hallway with Bullet.

“You’re going yourself.” Not a question.

“Stay with Mia,” I said. “Lock the doors.”

“Come back.”

“Always.”

The armored SUV waited below. Reinforced bumper. Bulletproof glass. Ram plate.

I drove it myself. Three escort vehicles followed. My handpicked squad.

The Oasis hid behind neon and velvet rope. Cameras above. Guards at the door.

I didn’t use the door. I floored it.

The SUV tore through the front wall. Glass, concrete, neon sparks.

The casino floor erupted. Dealers dove under tables. Gamblers screamed. Chips scattered like confetti.

I stepped out of the wreckage in Kevlar and red lipstick.

The light machine gun sat heavy in my hands.

I lifted it and opened fire. Not at people. At money.

The cashier cage shattered first. Then the vault terminals. Then every server rack holding Vincent’s accounts.

My squad swept through behind me. Floor by floor. Room by room.

Vincent’s financial backbone shattered in eleven minutes.

By the time sirens echoed in the distance, we were already gone.

I drove back to the estate with gunpowder on my hands and neon dust in my hair.

I never needed saving. I was the Viper this desert feared.

Vincent lost his money machine first. Then we went for his guns.

Wounded animals bite hardest.

Forty-eight hours after the Oasis fell, Dominic hit Vincent’s armory. A bunker east of the city. Weapons. Ammo. Explosives.

Dominic hit the front. I took the back.

We moved at the same time. Two strikes. One heartbeat.

Dominic’s convoy breached the main gate with heavy firepower. Vincent’s men rushed forward.

Exactly as planned.

While every gun faced him, my team came from behind. We cut the power first. Then the escape tunnels. Then the comms.

Vincent’s men had nowhere to run.

Forty minutes in, my magazine ran dry. I dropped behind a concrete barrier to reload.

Dominic’s rifle cracked to my left. Three shots. Three men dropped from my blind side.

I slammed a fresh magazine in and rose. My shots covered his advance to the next wall.

Back to back. Move and cover. No words.

We had fought before. Never like this. Two predators. One rhythm.

When the last man surrendered, the bunker went quiet.

Dominic crossed to me, dust and smoke on his face. He reached out and wiped the blood from my cheek with his thumb.

His eyes burned. Not with fear. With pride.

“You’re bleeding,” he said.

“Not mine.”

His mouth curved.

But the victory was incomplete.

On the drive back, Dominic’s phone buzzed. Estate alert. Isabella had made an unscheduled call.

“She’s calling for backup,” Dominic said.
