Trapped With The Untouchable CEO Chapter 02

Trapped With The Untouchable CEO Chapter 02

That was when I understood why he’d looked so hesitant earlier. He hadn’t been able to say it out loud.

I rushed to the heavy iron door, pounding on it like a madwoman. “Is anyone there? Open the door, open the door!”

“Doing that… will only make the drug kick in faster, Chloe.”

Alexander spoke up to stop me. His voice was hoarse, rough enough to drag a shiver through me, his breathing hot and unsteady.

In this situation, that voice felt like another dose of the drug.

An absurd thought flashed through my mind: if he lunged at me, should I resist, or…

I shivered, realizing I was already involuntarily thinking in that direction.

I kicked the iron door even harder.

“The door is welded shut…” Alexander spoke again.

I turned back to glare at him, my heart pounding so hard in my chest it felt like it would explode.

“Then what do we do? Wait to be tortured to death by the drug? Or lose control like animals in front of thousands of people?”

But the moment the words left my mouth, I regretted them.

The red in his eyes deepened, but he gritted his teeth and turned his face away, his Adam’s apple jerked hard as he swallowed, clearly suffering even more than I was.

My words sounded like an accusation that he would “take advantage of the situation.”

“I’m sorry.” I lowered my head, my voice tinged with a sob, “I’m just… so scared.”

“Don’t worry,” Alexander clenched his fists tightly, beads of sweat breaking out on his forehead, the back of his shirt already soaked. “I won’t touch you. I swear.”

“So noisy! It seems I’ve been a poor host. I must not have given you enough.” The synthesized electronic voice said sinisterly.

The next second, pink gas hissed from the vents. A sickeningly sweet fragrance slithered into my nose like a snake.

The scent was like melted honey, drilling into my lungs with every breath, and my fingertips instantly began to tingle.

Alexander suddenly turned around, his eyes fixed on me, his pupils shrinking to pinpricks.

My heart tightened, my body trembling uncontrollably, actually giving rise to a shameful sense of anticipation.

“Don’t breathe it in!”

He roared and rushed over, moving so fast he was just a blur, and his scalding palm covered my mouth and nose.

His palm burned against my skin, the thin calluses on his fingertips brushing against my lips making the touch feel far too intimate, far too dangerous.

I turned my head as if burned, only to crash right into his chest.

His face was only inches from mine, his exhaled breath a blazing fire tinged with the scent of the drug.

The comments on the screen exploded:

“He finally moved! Hold her tighter, Mr. Sterling!”

“Look at his hand! He’s about to crush her face!”

“Go for it! Stop pretending to be a hero!”

Alexander’s fingers suddenly tightened, and I let out a muffled groan of pain.

“Sorry.”

As if he’d snapped back to himself, he abruptly released me, stumbling back a large step, his back slamming hard against the iron door.

With a loud “bang,” he let out a muffled groan of pain. A jagged strip of metal sticking out from the door tore a gash deep into his forearm.

Blood instantly welled up, flowing down his forearm and dripping onto the pale gray floor, glaringly red.

I let out a terrified scream.

“Don’t be afraid!”

He retreated to the corner, and dug his fingers into the wound, letting out a low growl like a trapped beast, his voice ragged with pain.

He was using the agonizing pain to force himself awake, to force himself to stay away from me.

The comments on the screen instantly turned even nastier.

“Yo! He’s actually bleeding! Doing it on purpose for sympathy, right? Trying to make the woman feel sorry for him?”

“Hurry up and make her lick your wounds! Have some fun while you’re at it!”

“He’s about to snap and he’s still holding back?”
