Westley You Are Late Chapter 32

Westley You Are Late Chapter 32

Three days later, the investigation concluded.

There had been no impropriety in the selection process.

The contract would move forward.

The official findings also listed the completion dates of all seventeen proposal drafts, alongside the date the Sinclair Group withdrew from consideration.

Every single claim Sofia had made was systematically dismantled by the timeline.

I had my lawyer forward the official report to her.

Half an hour later, she deleted the original post herself.

But that wasn’t enough.

She had spread the lies publicly; she would retract them publicly.

My lawyer informed her that if she refused to issue a formal clarification, the lawsuit would proceed.

That night, Sofia published a public apology.

She admitted she had never been involved in the project.

She also admitted that her claim that it had “originally belonged to her” was based solely on the fact that Westley had once promised he would get me to hand it over.

The moment that apology went live, the first person to find her was Westley.

The next day, they had a screaming match outside the Ferraro Group headquarters.

I happened to be there to sign some documents and saw the whole thing.

Westley’s voice was tight with fury. “Why are you still dragging Brielle into this?”

Sofia’s eyes were red and swollen.

“Weren’t you the one who promised me in the first place?”

“You said she’d do anything you told her to.”

Westley’s face went white.

But Sofia was on a roll.

“You said all you had to do was coax her a little and her project would be mine. So who are you pretending to be now?”

Passersby had all stopped to watch.

Westley stood there, trapped in the center of the crowd, unable to deny a single word.

Because he really had said those things.

He had thought he was just making a casual, empty promise.

But what he had promised away was something I had built with my own two hands, through countless sleepless nights.

Sofia grabbed his sleeve, her voice breaking.

“Now the project is gone, and Leo won’t marry me. You can’t just abandon me like this.”

Westley pulled her hand off his arm.

“The child is Leo’s.”

“You’re saying that to me?”

Sofia suddenly laughed, a wild, unhinged sound.

“Back then, every time I called, didn’t you come running?”

“It didn’t matter if Brielle was sick or hurting. You were the one who left her, again and again.”

Westley went completely still.

Sofia stared at him, her eyes burning.

“Now that she doesn’t want you anymore, what makes you think you can blame me for any of this?”

Then she turned and walked away.

Westley remained where he stood.

The stares he was getting from the crowd were eerily similar to the ones I had endured a year ago.

But I didn’t stop to watch.

Clutching the newly signed project contract, I walked right past him.

This time, no one was ever taking it from me again.
