He Was Reborn To Claim Me But I’m Already Married Chapter 14

When Margaret heard about Adrian’s outrageous behavior, she came to the Bennett house in person to apologize.

But Mother was no longer her confidante. No matter what Margaret said, she refused to budge.

“Evelyn already has someone she loves. She and Adrian are not a match.”

When Evelyn repeated those words to me later, her face was radiant.

And at last, I found out who she had loved in both lifetimes.

A young doctor at Massachusetts General Hospital.

I was about to tease her when I looked up and saw Adrian standing not far away, staring straight at me.

I wanted no more to do with him. After last time, I had spent the entire night calming Daniel down.

My back was still sore.

But Adrian’s assistant moved quickly. In a few strides, he was in front of me, dropping to his knees.

“Miss Bennett, please, have some pity on Mr. Hawthorne,” he pleaded. “Mrs. Hawthorne has removed him from his position and frozen his accounts. The family security guards held him against his will. He was beaten with batons when he forced his way out—he has twenty separate bruises—but he’s still thinking of you. Despite his injuries and his fever, he insisted on coming to speak with you.”

“And this everlasting flower crown. Mr. Hawthorne knows he made you angry. He went all the way to Alaska to find these flowers just to make it up to you.”
