The Unsent Appeal Chapter 13

Mom pointed at the front door.

“If you won’t tell the truth, then pack your things and leave.”

“This family is not going to keep paying for your mistakes.”

That sentence sent Allison into a rage.

First came anger, then a laugh that grew louder and louder.

“You drove Chloe away, and now you want to drive me away, too? Is that it?”

She glared at Mom.

“I posted the videos. So what?”

“I can’t stand her.”

“I wanted everyone to see how ugly she is when she loses her temper.”

“I’m prettier than Chloe, and I’m better at getting people to like me.”

“I have more friends than she does.”

“And now all you do is praise her.”

“She’s only a Deputy Managing Director. What’s so special about that?”

“With my looks, I’ll marry someone truly rich sooner or later.”

“When that happens, her title won’t mean a thing.”

Allison’s eyes were full of resentment.

“You used to give me everything first.”

“That’s how it should be.”

“If you still want me in this house, then you have to take my side.”

The moment she finished speaking, Mom slapped her.

The sound cracked through the living room.

Allison’s face snapped to the side. Everyone froze.

“You’re not just hurting Chloe.”

Mom’s hand was still shaking. “Now the whole internet is attacking me and your father.”

This was the first time Mom had ever hit Allison, the first time she had ever screamed at her favorite daughter.

“After all these years, haven’t we given you enough?”

“You got almost everything Chloe never had.”

“What more do you want?”
