The Unsent Appeal Chapter 12

The Unsent Appeal Chapter 12

“Who’s attacking us?”

Tyler held up his phone.

What Allison had posted wasn’t a cozy tour of the new house.

It was footage of me arguing with Mom over the attic, and clips of my parents criticizing me for being difficult.

All of it had been maliciously edited.

Viewers couldn’t see what led up to the arguments or what happened afterward. All they could see was my shouting and my parents’ scolding.

It was obvious the person who had posted it was Allison.

“The comments are full of people cursing you out.” Tyler’s hand was shaking.

He handed the phone to Dad and scrolled through the comments.

*“If a kid doesn’t like a food, why force them to eat it?”*

*“The older sister gets choices, but the younger one doesn’t?”*

*“She was cleaning the attic because there wasn’t a single bedroom for her in that entire house.”*

*“Are these really her biological parents?”*

*“They posted the videos themselves. They obviously want the internet to attack their own daughter.”*

*“Now they find out she’s a Deputy Managing Director at a major company and suddenly they want to use her for clout.”*

*“These parents don’t even try to hide their favoritism.”*

*“They worship the older daughter and treat the other one like free labor.”*

Some people had even turned footage of my parents berating me into looping GIFs, adding evil witch and ghost filters over their faces.

Dad’s face turned ashen. Clutching his chest, he collapsed onto the couch.

Mom covered her face and cried, unable to understand how things had come to this.

With red-rimmed eyes, she turned on Allison.

“Didn’t you say you were going to get the audience to like us?”

“What exactly did you post?”

Allison’s eyes darted away. She started to deny everything.
