The Price Of His Mistake Chapter 10

The Price Of His Mistake Chapter 10

This was the agreement Catherine had drafted years ago. To give *him* a safety net.

He’d always thought of it as the ultimate proof of her love. He’d forgotten. If the infidelity clause was ever triggered, he’d lose everything too.

His hands shook as he opened the photos.

There was the selfie of him and Emily at the racetrack. Her arm slung over his shoulder. Him leaning into her.

There were screenshots from hotel elevator security footage. The two of them entering a suite at the Four Seasons together.

His hands shook harder. The photos slipped through his fingers and scattered across the floor.

He looked up. His voice came out wrecked. Shaking. Tears were already falling.

“Where’s Catherine? Why didn’t she come herself? Seven years. She won’t even see my face one last time?”

Edward’s laugh was cold. “My sister said she doesn’t want to look at you ever again.”

“Now. Pack your personal belongings into those boxes at your feet. You have ten minutes to leave this building.”

The words hit like a blade. Straight to the center of him.

Andrew shoved his chair back. Only one thought was in his head. *Find Catherine.*

He lunged forward blindly. Emily grabbed at him like he was a lifeline.

“Andrew! You can’t leave! What am I supposed to do?”

Andrew’s eyes were bloodshot. He roared, “Get away from me! Don’t touch me!”

He wrenched his arm free. His nails scraped across the back of her hand, leaving a raw red welt.

Behind him, Edward’s voice cut through, cool and unhurried. “Mr. Shaw, don’t rush off so fast. We still need your signature. Relinquishing all assets.”

But Andrew had already burst out of the office. Already slammed into the elevator.
