The Annoying Sleepwalker Chapter 15
“My AirPods Max receipt is right here.”
“Want to see it?”
Tessa pulled out her purchase history, too.
“Same with my iPad.”
Blair’s lips were trembling. Suddenly, she pointed at me.
“This is all her fault!”
“If she hadn’t deliberately put those things on her desk, none of this would have happened!”
At last, I spoke.
“Blair, are you saying I’m not allowed to put things on my own desk?”
“When I put my own things there, you smashed them, and everyone told me to let it go.”
“When I put borrowed things there, you smashed them, too, and now you’re saying I set you up.”
“So from now on, should I just clear my desk off completely and leave it empty for your sleepwalking episodes?”
The office fell silent.
Ms. Albright’s expression grew even colder.
“Blair, your parents need to speak with me by this evening.”
“And in the meantime, you cannot continue staying in your room without supervision.”
“The student life office will arrange temporary housing.”
Something in Blair’s eyes tightened.
She was afraid now.
Not of paying the money.
She was afraid the excuse of “sleepwalking” was finally turning into a rope around her own neck.
That afternoon, when I got back to the room, I sent a message to the group chat.
“Since items on my desk have been damaged multiple times at night,”
“I’m going to place a camera over my desk to protect my property.”
“It will only record my desk and chair. It will not record our beds, changing areas, or anyone else’s private space.”
“Housing has already been informed.”
“If anyone objects, please say so now.”
Tessa replied immediately:
“Agreed.”
Mallory:
“Agreed. Set it up tonight.”
Genevieve:
“I’m aware. That’s fine.”
Blair said nothing.
