The Annoying Sleepwalker Chapter 16
Half an hour later, she finally sent one line.
“You’re all spying on me.”
I replied:
“Didn’t you say you aren’t conscious when you sleepwalk?”
“A recording should help prove that.”
The chat went quiet again.
That night, I mounted a small Wyze camera to the side of my bookshelf.
It was pointed directly at my desk.
On the desk, I left a few empty boxes, some old papers, and a folder with my name on it.
Everything of value had already been moved.
Ms. Albright had also notified the overnight dorm staff.
They would be keeping an eye on our room.
After lights-out, neither Tessa nor Mallory slept deeply.
I lay in bed with my eyes closed.
I knew Blair would make a move.
She wouldn’t be able to stop herself.
She wanted to prove I was setting her up.
And she wanted to smash something again.
To vent all the anger from the past few days.
At 1:53 a.m., there was a faint sound from the lower bunk.
Blair got out of bed again.
This time, she was even more careful than before.
She stood by her own bed first, motionless.
In the dark, her eyes were open, slowly scanning the room.
The camera’s infrared light was dim, but it was visible.
She definitely saw it.
With her head lowered, she stepped around the slippers on the floor.
Then around the backpack by Tessa’s chair.
And then she walked steadily to my desk.
This was nothing like sleepwalking.
Every step was deliberate.
She stopped in front of the desk and looked up first, checking the camera’s position.
Then she reached out and opened the folder labeled *Brigid Pierce*.
Inside were only a few old printouts.
Blair paused.
Then, in a low voice, she cursed.
“Bitch.”
I lay in bed, my palms slick with sweat.
