The Annoying Sleepwalker Chapter 18

The Annoying Sleepwalker Chapter 18

The faculty member on duty tapped open the video.

The footage was clear.

Blair, watching the room with her eyes open.

Blair, stepping around obstacles.

Blair, walking to my desk.

Blair, looking at the camera.

Blair, opening my folder.

Blair, cursing my name.

Blair, sweeping everything off the desk.

Every movement was plain as day.

After watching it, the staff member’s face was grim.

“And this is sleepwalking?”

Blair was still crying.

“I really wasn’t conscious. Sleepwalkers can have their eyes open, too.”

I nodded.

“Sleepwalkers can have their eyes open.”

“But do sleepwalkers deliberately check for a camera?”

“Do they specifically open a folder with my name on it?”

“And when they realize there’s nothing valuable inside, do they call me a bitch?”

Blair’s lips trembled, but not a single word came out.

Ms. Albright was called in again, arriving quickly.

By the time she got to the room, it was already two-thirty in the morning.

After watching the video, she asked only one question.

“Blair, do you have an explanation?”

Blair sat in the chair, her face as white as paper.

In a low voice, she said, “I’ve been under too much pressure.”

Ms. Albright frowned.

“And?”

Suddenly, Blair broke down, sobbing.

“I just can’t stand her!”

“Why does Brigid Pierce get everything?”

“The scholarship is hers. The professor loves her.”

“She was even on the Goldman Sachs internship recommendation list.”

“She acts like she’s so perfect every single day.”

“Like everyone else is beneath her.”

Tessa was stunned.

So was Mallory.

I, on the other hand, felt almost calm.

She’d finally said it.

There was no sleepwalking.

Just pure jealousy.

Blair cried as she yelled,

“The first time, I really didn’t mean to smash it that badly!”

“I just wanted her to miss the project deadline!”

“How was I supposed to know she’d keep hounding me for money?”

“After that, all of you kept pressuring me.”

“What else was I supposed to do?”
