The Seat Swap That Got Me Harassed To Death Chapter 06

I tilted my head toward Emily and flipped the medical report to the last page.

“Emily, those cookies you handed out—they had two harmful bacteria. Anyone who ate them will start showing symptoms in three to seven days.”

“The report makes it perfectly clear. I don’t think I need to tell you who the person who actually poisoned everyone was, do I?”

Emily clearly hadn’t expected me to have evidence.

Her face went deathly pale.

Ethan froze for a second, then pointed at me in fury.

“Claire, you actually forged a medical report just to clear your own name?”

Emily immediately caught on. She turned toward the camera, tears streaming down her face.

“I was just trying to do something nice for everyone. I handed out some snacks, and now they’re being used as evidence against me.”

Her eyes were red, her voice trembling with hurt.

“Everyone, you tell me. I’ve spent three years doing charity work. I’ve donated hundreds of thousands of dollars.”

“If I were really the kind of person who would deliberately poison people, would I have spent all these years helping others?”

The comments that had started to turn against her quickly swung back in her favor.

“Snowball has been doing charity work for three years. There’s no way she’s that kind of person!”

“She probably bribed the testing lab and forged the report. She’s trying to frame Snowball just to make money off the outrage!”

The police officers frowned, their expressions turning serious.

“Ms. Claire, can you prove this report is authentic?”

I handed the report to them, my voice calm.

“The official stamp and registration number are all there. You can verify it on the hospital’s website right now.”

Ethan suddenly lunged forward and snatched the report from the officer’s hand.

He tore it to pieces.

His face was bright red, his chest heaving as he glared at me.

“Claire! Are you done yet?”

“You’ve been targeting Emily ever since we got on that train. And now you’re forging evidence to frame her?”

He turned toward the cameras and the police, his voice heavy with emotion.

“I’ve been with her for three years. I know exactly what she’s like.”

“She’ll do anything to get revenge on someone. I couldn’t take it anymore, so I broke up with her.”

I stood there, almost amused.

“Ethan, think carefully before you say another word.”

“Right now, you’re giving false testimony. Do you understand that you can be held legally responsible for that?”

Ethan whipped around, the vein in his temple bulging.

“I didn’t say anything that wasn’t true! I can’t just stand here and watch you hurt Emily and then turn around and play the victim!”

“You’re trying to stop me because you’re scared, aren’t you? You know you’re guilty!”

The livestream chat was now filling with messages from passengers who had been on the train that day.

One after another, they said they were coming over.

They were determined to stand up for Snowball and get justice for her.

I stood there, watching the whole thing get bigger and louder.

Let them come.

The bigger this became, the harder it would be for them to control.

A flicker of panic crossed Emily’s eyes.

The more people showed up, the more completely this situation would spiral out of control.

She wiped away her tears and put on her usual understanding expression.

“Everyone, please don’t worry about me. I believe the truth will come out, and the police will clear my name.”

“It’s already so late. I’m worried about everyone traveling at this hour. You really don’t need to come all this way just for me.”

Her words only made her die-hard fans rally around her even harder.

The passengers from the train were even more fired up. They said they were coming as fast as they could.

Emily was completely panicking now.

She probably wished she could bite her own tongue off.

With nowhere else to turn, she looked desperately at the police.

“Officer, it’s so late. They really don’t need to come here, do they?”

Ethan immediately backed her up.

“Exactly. Isn’t everything pretty obvious already? You can just arrest Claire and be done with it.”

One of the officers answered in a low, firm voice.

“Having witnesses will make the investigation easier. We’re not going to wrongfully accuse anyone.”

Just then, someone knocked hard on the front door.

The lock clicked.

The door swung open, and several people came pouring inside.
