The Seat Swap That Got Me Harassed To Death Chapter 05

I pressed the doorbell.

When the door opened, Ethan was standing there.

He gave me a cold snort and stepped aside.

“Emily’s going live tonight to thank you for giving up your seat. Don’t make a face and embarrass her.”

I didn’t call him out.

I just smiled faintly.

“I’ll smile through the whole thing. Don’t worry.”

Inside the living room, Emily was setting up her livestream equipment.

The moment she saw me, she beamed and pulled me onto the couch.

“Welcome, Claire! We’re going live soon. I hope you enjoy the little surprise I prepared for you.”

I noticed a medical report tucked beneath the livestream equipment.

I looked at her and smiled.

“I’ll enjoy it. Just make sure you don’t disappoint me.”

Emily had spent the past few days hyping up tonight’s livestream.

The moment she went live, the viewer count shot into the thousands.

Once she decided there were enough people watching, she suddenly burst into tears.

Hatred burned in her eyes as she pointed a trembling finger at me.

“Ever since I sat in your seat on the train, I’ve been feeling sick!”

She pulled out the medical report and held it up to the camera with shaking hands.

“I went to the hospital for tests, and that’s when I found out I have an STD!”

“I’ve always been careful. I’ve never slept around. I never thought something like this could happen to me.”

Emily threw herself deeper into the performance, her face crumpling as she glared at me.

“Claire, you knew you had an STD! Why did you still agree to switch seats with me?”

The livestream chat exploded.

“Snowball does so much good, and this woman deliberately exposed her to a disease! Call the police!”

“Knowingly spreading an STD is a crime! She needs to be arrested!”

Ethan shot to his feet, pointing at me with a look of righteous outrage.

“Claire, I always knew you had a filthy private life. You slept around all the time!”

“But why take it out on someone who did nothing? Why Emily? You gave her a disease. Is that what you wanted?”

He turned toward the camera, his eyes red.

“I dumped her over her personal life. I never imagined she’d be this vindictive… Infecting someone else just to get back at me.”

Emily lifted her tear-streaked face, her voice shaking with anger and grief.

“I beg everyone who was in that train carriage that day to please go get tested at a hospital!”

The viewer count skyrocketed.

The screen filled with comments attacking me.

Then the doorbell rang.

When the door opened, two police officers stood outside.

“We received a report. We need everyone here to cooperate with our investigation.”

Emily froze for a second before pointing straight at me.

“Officer, she’s deliberately spreading an STD in public! Please, arrest her!”

Ethan immediately backed her up, looking at me with disgust.

“She slept around the entire time we were together. Who knows? She might even be involved in prostitution.”

“Sir, you need to investigate her properly!”

The two officers exchanged a look before walking toward me.

I didn’t flinch.

I just reached into my bag and pulled out two documents, holding them up in front of the livestream camera.

“I have proof that I’m innocent. This is my blood donation record from the day I got off the train.”

“Before you can donate blood, you have to be screened for four major infectious diseases. My results were all negative. I was completely clean.”

I watched Emily’s face go stiff.

Then I pulled out the cookies she’d handed out on the train, still sealed inside a clear evidence bag.

“These are the cookies you gave everyone that day.”

I smiled at her.

“Guess what the tests found in them?”
