I Was The Perfect Queen But He Forgot My Name Chapter 58
I understood almost immediately: Rowan was testing King Arthur’s limits.
If the King could not tolerate it, Rowan would be condemned on the spot. If he accepted it, Rowan would know exactly how much this newly emerged son was worth in his eyes.
He was gambling with his life again.
After his initial shock, King Arthur burst out laughing.
“Ruthless. You really are my son.”
He did not punish Rowan. He only ordered the Royal Guard to send Adrian to the hospital.
The gamble had paid off.
At last, the surroundings fell quiet.
Rowan reached into his coat pocket and took something out, just as Tessa whispered, “The Luna Queen is coming.”
Rowan immediately shoved me behind a tall red plum tree, blocking the line of sight with his own body. Tessa hid as well.
Evelyn approached alone, and the first thing out of her mouth was a complaint.
“Why are you still here? The banquet and the councilors are all waiting for Prince Julian to make an appearance.”
She could not let others hear her use the wrong name.
Expressionless, Rowan said he would go at once.
Evelyn was still dissatisfied.
Her cat was sick, and Rowan had not taken the initiative to arrange for a veterinarian.
“If Julian were here, he would know how to comfort me.”
“You’ve been cruel since you were a child. At nine years old, you could gouge out a rogue wolf’s eye. Of course you wouldn’t care about a cat.”
All light vanished from Rowan’s eyes.
In the end, he only wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth where he had coughed.
“All right. I’ll get the best veterinarian.”
